Brisbane

This has been my home since I was seventeen. I arrived in 1999 and stayed at a backpackers place on Vulture Street, Southbank, before moving around a bit for a few years. Eventually, I found a spot in Petrie.

As a kid from the countryside, moving to the big city was a life-changing experience. During my first couple of years, everything seemed like a blur, but I can confidently say that I matured quickly. I took on various jobs, starting as a barker's hand, then becoming a screenprinter and even running my own market store. Meanwhile, I pursued my passion as an artist, constantly honing my skills. Along this journey, I made some incredible friends whom I cherish deeply (except when we hang out, as we always have a little catchphrase: NGCCOFT).

Writing about this place is a challenge because there isn't a single aspect left unexplored. Instead, I'll let a stack of photos speak for themselves, capturing the essence of my experiences here.

Brisbane City 2012

Brisbane City 2012

The city has always known how to put a display from fireworks, storms, festivals and entertainment.

There are also numerous beautiful places around here, perfect for a holiday getaway. Whether you enjoy climbing volcanoes, exploring beaches with shipwrecks, or venturing into the lush rainforests, there's something for everyone. The parks in the area are fantastic for spending a leisurely Sunday afternoon by the river, creating lasting memories with family and friends.

For those who prefer the nightlife, Fortitude Valley is brimming with nightclubs scattered throughout. However, it's worth mentioning that the daylight can sneak up on you quickly and catch you off guard, so be mindful of the time if you're out late.

Mount Beerwah has two peaks, the taller of which is 556 metres (1,824 ft) high. It is one of the most visually prominent mountains in south-east Queensland. I took my drone up for its first fly, what a climb , what a view. Thank you for watching...
Mount Tibrogargan is one of the many mountains in the Glass House Mountains National Park, north-northwest of Brisbane, Australia. It is a volcanic plug of hard alkali rhyolite that squeezed up into the vents of an ancient volcano 27 million years ago.

If you don’t know, I am a huge fan I having fun with friends and going out at night, in saying that I don’t go out as much as I did but Brisbane can light up the night sky.
